United for Sustainability
In order to reduce the environmental impact of our trade shows and make more sustainable events, at Barcelona Wine Week we carry out different actions.
We are aware that it is necessary to implement sustainable measures to fight climate change aiming to set an example for our sector.
United for Sustainability is a project that contributes to the implementation of all kinds of measures in relation to sustainability, both on an environmental and social level, in line with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDGs set an agenda of goals for the year 2030 and aim to eradicate poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all.

Register your sustainable initiative
With the aim of supporting exhibitors and turning the show into a platform to showcase the sector’s Sustainability and its commitment to the SDGs, we have created a form with evaluation criteria to identify exhibitors who have implemented actions and best practices in these areas.
During the show, we will promote the work of these companies by awarding them the United for Sustainability distinction as a “Company with a Sustainable Initiative“. Exhibitors that meet the criteria will enjoy the following benefits:
- They will receive a badge to display at their stand during the event.
- They will be highlighted in the exhibitor listings of the fair (both physical and digital, on the website and app).
- They will be featured in the exhibitor listings of the Visitor’s Guide.
- Selected companies will be published in the United for Sustainability section of the show’s website.
- Selected companies will be promoted on the show’s social media channels.
Remember, the sooner you complete it, the sooner we can promote your participation as a company with sustainable initiatives.
*Deadline to complete the form: 19 December 2025

Barcelona Wine Week committed to sustainability
BWW aims to reduce waste generation during the event. Among the actions we carry out, we highlight:
Installation of recycling islands for the separation and selective collection of waste into 3 fractions
Reduction and elimination of all single-use plastics throughout the venue: cardboard lanyards, bottles, cutlery, plates…
Reusing of stands and furnishings from previous editions
Badge, lanyard and pass holder collection at the exit of the venue
All media printed on recycled paper with the FSC label
Elimination of single-use plastics in Gastrofira restaurants
CO2 compensation and reduction
We travel in a greener way
Whenever possible, our speakers and hosted buyers will travel by train rather than by plane in order to reduce the environmental impact and greenhouse gas emissions of their journeys.
Public transport discount
To reduce the emission of greenhouse gases and encourage the use of public transport to move around the city, we offer a 10% discount on the purchase of the Hola Barcelona Travel Card.
